Aging
I think I must be getting older.....now obviously I'm not quite 30 but I noticing that my body doesn't quite respond the way it used to. (I also know that when I'm 40 I will have a reached a new stage of "old"...) I couldn't sleep last night because I had a soda while finishing out the Survivor finale. I knew it was a bad idea and 11:30-1:00 last night was on the fitful side. Lesson learned-hopefully.

Running
I like running...kind of. I went for a run tonight and felt great during the first part of the run. In the middle things got a little rough. I found myself hoping I would conveniently run in to someone else at the lake who was ready for a conversation. No luck though and I kept pushing. I kept moving the whole time which is a good accomplishment for me. Painful to get to the end but feels so good at the end. Definitely worth it.

Oy
The craziness continues. Details, details, details. As we get ready to leave there are lots of things to finish up here and lots of things to do before we go. Yikes. One hour I'm thinking this and then a little while later things change. I'm being reminded the importance to remember to be more like Mary instead of Martha-Luke 10:38-42.
Lame.
That best describes last night. We were up a little later working on our support letter and didn't get to bed until about 11:30. Back in the old days 11:30 would have been fairly early but we usually try and get to bed at about 10:30. Neither of us slept that well last night-our minds were racing about all the things that need to get done the next month and a half. So it was a long lame night of tossing and turning. The only good thing that came out of it was being up early this morning to make bacon and eggs. Mmmm....

Update.
So I'm a slacker. I had good intentions (like always) of keeping the blog thing going a bit more regularly but didn't make the time for it. Since my last post life has gone on much as normal-internship, work, hanging out, etc. However we've also had some big developments in our lives.
First-I completed my Master's thesis, turned in my last assignments, and graduated with my Master's in School Counseling. Hooray! Three years-both long and short at the same time have passed by. I really enjoyed school but am definitely glad to be done. I won't miss all of the driving and wear & tear put on my truck.
Second-Brittany's teaching position was unfortunately cut for next school year. Even though this was her fourth year teaching she was the last in seniority for pe/health teachers. I've also run in to some dead ends for any jobs that might allow me to put my degree to use.
Third-So.....we are moving to Thailand! The short story is that our church helps support a children's home in Chiang Mai Thailand where we will be going to work with the kids and teach english to kindergarteners to help start a school. Kind of crazy but going overseas is something that we had talked about when we first got married. So because of some closed doors here we've decided to explore some open doors elsewhere. At this point we'll be just going on a short term basis which will put us out of the states from late June 09 to March 2010. We'll be starting a new blog that will give some more info about our new adventures and hopefully I'll be a bit more faithful in my blogging efforts :)
